Controlled braking
Having power under the hood is a benefit; however, harnessing and controlling that power is another story. The 2022 Honda Pilot comes standard with a 4-wheel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) to assist with controlled braking. This system is designed to help you come to a safe stop under hard braking situations and prevent wheel lock. At the same time, Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) helps to apply maximum braking power based on weight distribution inside the vehicle.
VSA
Vehicle Stability Control is paired with Traction Control to help keep your Honda going in the direction you intended. VSA helps your vehicle avoid situations of oversteer and understeer and enhances control and stability. If you are on a hill, the system will hold the brake for three seconds to give you time to apply the throttle, preventing rollback.

Six Standard Airbags
Inside the cabin, the Honda Pilot boasts six standard airbags. It features a front airbag system, three-row side curtain airbags with rollover sensor, SmartVent side airbags that deploy safely in a way that reduces injury to passengers who may not be seated correctly.
Six Belt Safety
The Pilot features 3-point height-adjustable front seat belts and automatic tensioners. 2nd and 3rd-row passengers are not left out with the same 3-point height-adjustable belts.
Child Safety Features
Honda wants to make it easy for parents with young children. The Pilot boasts four built-in Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) mechanisms. They allow for easy installment of compatible child safety seats without utilizing the vehicle's seat belts.
Pedestrian Safety
The Pilot features innovative safety features to keep pedestrians safe and reduce hard in case of an unfortunate accident. The addition of an energy-absorbing hood and front fenders paired with deformable wiper pivots will do just that.
